Jo Lacey is the General Manager of Royal Primary Care Chesterfield | Clay Cross. Mrs Lacey is the senior manager and together with Dr Peter Scriven - Divisional Director and Matron Lisa Callaghan - Head of Nursing is responsible for the operation of Royal Primary Care.
My role is to oversee all aspects of RPC operational service delivery. This includes providing management and leadership to all admin staff within RPC. The NHS is not just about the clinical staff on the front line and a lot of work goes in the background ensuring that letters, referrals, test results and patient requests are processed in a timely and confidential manner. All of this work ensures that the team as a whole can do the work they are trained to do and provide high quality patient care.
I also review opportunities for service improvement and help with identifying improvements and efficiencies that help us to continue to provide high quality patient care, alongside the whole of the primary care team.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
